It’s a 3 day weekend. Many will celebrate the day with cook outs and family getting together to hang out around American flags. It’s the American way to celebrate the first weekend of Summer.
We will pause to remember the reason for the holiday and spend a few minutes remembering those that have fallen in battles we know nothing about. They did it so that we could have these holidays. We know someone has done it, even if we don’t know any one that did personally. We wouldn’t be celebrating if they hadn’t.
So, Happy Memorial Day! May your hot dogs be crisp and the water be cool on your skin. May you always remember the lives it cost so that you could enjoy them.
